Hp Elite Book 8540p Usb Controller Driver Download
so i'm trying to install SL on my brand new elitebook 8540p, it has an i7-620m cpu and an nvidia NVS 5100 graphics chipset. In the bios sata is set to ahci mode. I have also flashed the latest bios to see if it made a difference.
When i start up from iboot supported, and then the 10.6.3. dvd, I get to the screen to select my language. The touch pad, the pointer stick, and the usb mouse all don't work. I believe the built in pointing devices use the usb bus? My usb keyboard does not work either, but the onboard keyboard works fine.
So using basic keyboard commands I'm able to get to the part where i can select which drive i want to install to and there are no drives listed, it appears to not detect anything.
i'm at my wits end does anyone have any thoughts or am I SOL?
