Final Fight 2's a fighter to be reckoned with, but it's not a knockout. You'll want to take it on for the thrills of two-player Final Fighting, but the game play's predictable. Download Final Fight 2 to PC, ANDROID OR iPhone. In order to play this SNES ROM, you must first download an Emulator.
So, yer lookin' for a fight, eh? Well, step into the alley and prepare for a two-fisted Super NES slam-bang slugfest. Final Fight is home from the arcades.
You've read about the Japanese best-seller, now you can beat-up the bad guys in the American version. Capcom's five level, 16-bit head-banger is almost a carbon copy of the fabled coin-muncher, however, this rendition allows for just one street fighter to play instead of two.
Get Physical
Gang warfare is no laughing matter in Metro City, and the local terrorist group, the Mad Gears, just upped the ante -- they've kidnapped the Mayor's daughter, Jessica. If Maya Haggar doesn't meet their demands in 24 hours, it's curtains for Miss Jess and possibly the entire city. Mind your backs Mad Gears'. When Haggar (a former pro wrestler) gets mad, watch out! Metro's gonna' be rockin' and rollin' with punches tonight!
Play as either Maya Haggar himself, a brawny muscle-bound brute (when he sheds his suit), a as Jessica's boyfriend Cody, a kickboxing pro. They're both lean and mean, but take these boys for a test run first, then decide whether Haggard raw strength a Cody's blinding speed better suits your fighting style.
ProTips:
- Both characters use spectacular spin moves, but it wears out their power. Save it for tight spots and bosses.
- Use enemies as weapons! Pick one up and shoulder-flip him onto the others.
Punk Patrol
It's hard to keep track, but Final Fight's body count easily reaches triple figures. From 'wimpazoids' such as Simons to towering behemoths such as Andore, the creeps run the gamut of vicious fist-flingers, knife-wielders, and death-dealers. The bosses are a real slap in the face, and your chances for survival improve if you enter into a battle well prepared. Chomp down energy-boosting food or seize a sword, pipe, or knife for that extra edge. If it makes you feel any better, you begin with five chances (which can be increased if you earn enough points) and three continues. Good luck!
- Don't munch edibles until you really need them.
- Use your spin attack to block rolling barrels.
- To avoid a trio of flame-throwers, move to the bottom of the screen and smash the first one before he attacks. The other soldiers' firebombs will fall off harmlessly.
- Give Thrasher the boot with your hold-maneuvers. Watch out when he whistles for reinforcements.
- Rapid punch Katana, and when he drops his blade don't pick it up! Instead, apply a flying foot to knock him away.
- Use aerial assaults to weaken EDI-E, and when he pulls out his pistol, move in for a quick body-slam.
- Try a spin to counter Abigail's mad charges.
- Run under a Level Five chandelier for a free barbecue.
- When big boss Belger appears, hit him immediately so he drops Jessica. Then move in and clobber him with the spin move. Do this over and over, each time he tries to get up, and he's road pizza.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
A few of the missing arcade qualities, such as the woman warriors, two person game-play, and, yes, even the nasty blood spills are sorely missed in this SNES version of Final Fight, and there is the occasional intrusion of sprite-flicker. A few more levels would have been nice, too, but, hey, we can't have everything. Raws aside, if you're up for a generous dose of amazing animation, rip roarin' music, strappin' sound effects, and just plain adrenalin-pumping fun game-play, seriously consider getting a grip on Final Fight!
The popular Final Fight series now has a new addition, Final Fight 3. Capcom definitely kept the lo.ok and feel of the original side-scroller while making some distinct changes to the game. Retained from the older versions are the street debris.
Punching items like oil drums and garbage cans will reward players with health, points and weapons. In addition, the stages in Final Fight 3 are all side-scrolling and maintain the same look and feel of the previous Final Fight games in which contestants must fight through streets, alleys and busses.
On the improved side, Capcom added two new fighters. Dean and Lucia, to the Final Fight roster and removed Cody. Both Dean and Lucia have two Special Moves as opposed to Haggar and Guy. Lucia's fighting technique is similar to Chun Li, using her strong legs and helicopter kick. Dean is a cross between Haggar and Guy, having the strength of Haggar and agility similar to Guy's.
Unlike its three predeces sors. Final Fight 3 gives the player a choice of four characters to choose from: Haggar, Guy, Dean and Lucia. Each of the characters' special moves are done by a certain button and pad movement similar to the Street Fighter series. The command moves vary greatly from character to character and can be used to finish a deadly combo. Another addition to Final Fight 3 that was not in the previous games is the Super Meter. Just like the Street Fighter series, The Super Meter is charged up by hitting the enemy. Once charged and blinking, you can use your Super Special Move.
Each of the characters has a wide variety of moves that can be pulled off. depending on the situation. Using the dash and hitting the punch button is a good quick attack to knock the enemy down. From a grab, the character can throw him on the ground and punch him in the gut, pull off a backbreaker smash the enemy on your knee and more. It's important to learn each character's combo for maximum effectiveness.
Final Fighter Game
Strategy plays a key element in this game, believe it or not. The most effective way to take off as much energy as possible is to use a combo. Start with a punch or two and finish with your special move. When grabbing ana inrowing the enemies, kill birds with one stone and throw them at other enemies on the screen. Use your Super Special Move wisely and attack an enemy with a decent amount of life. Lastly, before attempting a combo, make sure no enemies are behind you waiting to take a cheap shot. The game is a good balance of new and old. The new characters, special moves. Super Meter and levels combined with the control and look of the original make this game a winner.
COMPUTER COMPANION
Final Fight has a new option that we haven't seen before, Auto 2 Play. Now, for the first time, a person can team up with the computer to go against the baddies. This allows you to have a two-player simultaneous game with just one player. You have the ability to choose your character, the character the computer controls and the strength of the computer's character. Finally, all those who have no one else to game with can now play a two-player game with the computer. Very cool!
THOSE BAD BOSSES....
Final Fight
Fighting the Bosses can be a serious pain, so here are some general tips that can help you take 'em down. When you know you're near the end of the stage, save your Super Special for the Boss. Use the enemies around the Boss to your advantage: beat them up to build up your Super Meter and throw them into the Boss.
Lastly, remember Bosses can be grabbed just like any other enemy, so grab them and build a combo by throwing a couple punches and using your Special Move or a throw. Using these strategies can give you the edge over any Mid-Boss or Boss. Good luck!
